These are single young women and girls of the Arbore tribe. (You can tell by their hair. Once married, they will let it grow.)

We had a lovely time taking photos of these beautiful people, paying them modeling fees for their time.

When it was time to leave, one of the young ladies approached our driver, a happily married middle-aged man and father of three.

She asked if he would marry her.

He said he was already married. Her response was, “No problem.”

He said he does not share her religion. Her response was again, “No problem.”

She pled her case, telling him she is a virgin and that her father only wanted 1000 birr ($18.33 in U.S. Dollars). He politely but firmly turned down her proposal.
